REALTY EXCHANGERS was first incorporated in 1989 and began serving as a qualified intermediary for I.R.C. Sec. 1031 Exchanges in 1990, when the I.R.S. first came out with their guidelines for Deferred Exchanges. We were originally formed to provide service to the real estate industry in our area. Over the years, we have expanded into one of the nation's leading qualified intermediaries for I.R.C. Sec. 1031 Exchanges.
PROCESSING:
We are fully computerized, and perform
exchanges throughout the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii and the U. S.
Virgin Islands. We process our transactions by FAX, E-MAIL, and Electronic Funds
Transfer, and we provide exchange documents to anywhere in the nation. Please
make sure to allow ample time for review and processing.
SERVICE:
You'll get personalized service from a
corporate officer/owner. We review each transaction to insure that you receive
the complete and accurate service on which we pride ourselves. Although we are
happy to furnish general information on how the exchange process works, we are
not allowed to furnish specific tax, legal, or real estate brokerage advice. You
should always consult with your advisors before executing an exchange.
Jim Maxwell is the President of Realty Exchangers, Inc. a Qualified Intermediary firm for I.R.S. Section 1031 Deferred Exchanges. Mr. Maxwell started Realty Exchangers, Inc. in 1989 with his partner Al Ingalls; they are a National Intermediary firm doing exchanges throughout the United States, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Mr. Maxwell approaches the 1031 exchange business from a real estate background. He is a licensed Commercial Real Estate Broker in the State of Washington, and has been in the Real Estate business since 1983. He has over one thousand hours of advanced continuing education, and holds the Graduate REALTORS Institute (GRI), Certified Residential Specialists (CRS), Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) designations of the National Association of REALTORS.
Mr. Maxwell is a lifelong resident of the Northwest, born in Portland, OR in 1937. He is an avid fisherman, and lives with his wife Julie on a 10-acre farm in Ridgefield, WA. He is very familiar with the needs and concerns of investment property owners.
